The Closing of the American Internet

Very good article on the fate of the Net.

Technology, as always, can be used for good or for bad. Look at TV.; a perfect example.

There will also, always be those among us, who are fairly incurious about the world they live in.

Price of the Net is likely to become more of a problem in years to come, as more people are disinfranchized, in quite a few ways.

I believe, if left to grow, in its own way, it can and will become the most important tool for freedom and democracy that has ever come down the pike.

Give it a chance.

The Closing of the American Internet - Newsweek: International Editions - MSNBC.com:

"May 8, 2006 - When the U.S. Census Bureau proclaimed the American frontier closed in 1890, it signaled the end of the boom-and-bust era and the beginning of a more stately pace of growth. Now that the dotcom bubble has come and gone, is the same thing about to happen to that other American frontier, the Internet?"
