Sharp Reaction to G.O.P. Plan on Gas Rebate - New York Times

$100 rebate to "taxpayers" is the dumbest goddamned idea I have ever heard.

"Sent to income taxpayers", not gasoline taxpayers? As a matter of fact, the recipient does not even have to own a car or other vehicle.

How the hell is that helping the people who are having the hardest time with the gasoline prices? There are people with cars who do not earn enough money to even pay income tax. But they are sure as hell stuck with the high cost of fuel.

Seems to me that the Repuublicans are just trying to get something, anything, through so that they all won't be ridden out of town on a rail.

Well, it won't work! People are still thinking about the oil company profits and the salaries and other monies paid to the greedy, self-important CEOs and other corporate officers.

The Republcans have hitched their party , and their portfolios, no doubt, to these jackasses, so let them all go to hell with them.

Sharp Reaction to G.O.P. Plan on Gas Rebate - New York Times:

"WASHINGTON, April 30: The Senate Republican plan to mail $100 checks to voters to ease the burden of high gasoline prices is eliciting more scorn than gratitude from the very people it was intended to help."
