Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday accused Republicans of "playing the fear card" of terrorism to win elections and said Democrats cannot keep quiet if they want to win in November.
Hillary, for chrissake, they have been doing that since 9/11. We did you figure that out?
The New York Democrat, facing re-election this year and considered a potential White House candidate in 2008, said Republicans won the past two elections on the issue of national security and "they're doing it to us again."
Then, why don't you call them on their lies? Why don't you question them about 9/11, since we still do not know the truth about that horrible day? You really have nothing to lose, Hill. Because lightweight, polite little Dems aren't going to stand a chance, ever again.
She said a speech by presidential adviser Karl Rove two weeks ago showed the GOP election message is: "All we've got is fear and we're going to keep playing the fear card."
Actually, it is the same old campaign slogan; Wet you pants and vote for us!
Well if we have anything to say about it, they are going to have very wet pants by the time this is all over, and it will be; ONE WAY OR THE OTHER
In that speech, Rove suggested Republicans can prevail in 2006 by showing Democrats had undermined terrorism-fighting efforts by questioning Bush's authority to allow wiretapping without getting court approval first.
Bring it on FROG! You think you are so goddamned smart! I know women who could wipe the floor with you, and just may, if they make it home alive from Iraq. Because you will not always have secret service protection like your little chicken-shit boss man (be that Cheney in his hidey-hole constantly having to be resuscitated or Junior, the blathering idiot).
Clinton said a convention of United Auto Workers that Democrats should not be afraid to question Bush's handling of the war.
Afraid? AFRAID? If they are afraid they should all go home, right now! Because there are plenty of us out here who are not afraid. We have nothing left to lose but our country, and that, Dear Lady, is worth fighting for, right here in the streets of America, if we have to.
We did it in he 60s and we will do it again. You used to be one of us. Are you still. or can we count you out when it comes to the real fight?
"I take a back seat to nobody when it comes to fighting terrorism and standing up for national homeland security," she said.
Then start with the people who are more of a threat to our constitution and our nation than the tallest man in Afghanistan will ever be.
Referring to fugitive al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, Clinton said, "You cannot explain to me why we have not captured or killed the tallest man in Afghanistan."
Yeah, I can explain it Hill. Bush and company don't want to catch him. Where the hell else are they going to find a bogey man like Osama, with gazillions in oil money, much of it our money, by the way, who is goofy enough to personally declare war on the U.S. (Unless of course, he is actually on the Bush family payroll; not as wild as it may seem, since bin Laden and Bush seem to have the same goals, of Bush keeping power and the bankrupting of America.)
She added, "Since when has it been part of American patriotism to keep our mouths shut?"
Well, apparently since 9/11, because we have all been begging the Democrats to unload on these creeps or years now.
White House spokesman Ken Lisaius responded: "It sounds like from reports that the political season is certainly starting early for some."
You bet it is starting early and it is going to roll over you Bushite creeps like a Mack truck.
President Bush, he said, wants to address rising health costs, energy costs and the war in Iraq in a bipartisan way "and keep the political bomb-throwing to a minimum."
(Yeah, we just bet he does, now that he is in our crosshairs, with his pants down around his ankles. But he can forget it. He hasn't been interested in Bi-partisan anything since he was elected, and he isn't now. He is only hoping that the Democrats will do what they usually do and back down, so he can throw another bomb at 99% of the American people.)
Clinton also said the Bush administration was allowing U.S. manufacturing to wither away and that the only way for workers to protect those jobs was by electing Democrats.
(Yep, because they are all we have, at the moment. But, the Democrats had better start earning their keep or there will be a revolutionary third party in this country. People are damned fed up!)
She was cheered by the auto workers, a few of whom shouted, "Hillary for president."
We aren't so sure about that. I do not fault the auto workers, but the automakers for our current mess. They deserve to go out of business, if you ask me, for continuing to manufacture gas guzzling monstrosities, when everyone knew that peak oil had been reached and that fossil fuels were destroying the environment.
Maybe the auto workers can go to work building scooters and other modes of transportation that do not consume oil products.
The bulk of her 30-minute speech focused on economic issues and the troubled U.S. auto industry, which is losing market share to foreign manufacturers and bracing for tens of thousands of layoffs.
Clinton said the administration has not done enough to keep America globally competitive. She urged a new long-term effort by the government and private oil companies to fund research and development, particularly in energy-saving technologies.
Is she nuts? Since when do the money sucking Oil CEOs and other crack whores of industry, give a damn about anything or anyone but their own bottom lines?
Speaking to an enthusiastic Democratic crowd that increasingly sees jobs moving overseas, Clinton said Thailand should not be granted access to the U.S. auto market.
Why the hell not. If they can build a truck that doesn't harm the environment, is inexpensive to buy and maintain, let them have at it.
But that should be the deal. Anything less should not be let in, period.. We have already got enough crap over here without buying more of it.
The U.S. is in negotiations with Thailand on a trade pact that might eliminate or reduce a 25 percent tariff on trucks made there.
