Democratic Leaders Ask Bush to Redeploy Troops in Iraq

So, the Democrats come out with a unified position on Iraq, and the NYT says that it is a signal that they believe that the Iraq war will hurt Repiblicans in November. (If it doesn't hurt them, there is something far more wrong in this country than we already suspect.)

It couldn't be because Iraq is such a humongous, damn, Bush mess that it is difficult for anyone to figure out what to do? It couldn't be because Congress has little say about foreign policy, so therefore, it is unusual that people running for Congress would even be asked what they think about Iraq, unless it was a horrid quagmire over which the Congress may have to exercise the power of the purse to stop the insanity?

Bush is in so far over his head that when he opens his mouth, all he does is blow bubbles. If his name was George Smith he would be a used car salesman and our country would not be in the fifth hell-realm.

Democratic Leaders Ask Bush to Redeploy Troops in Iraq - New York Times:

"WASHINGTON, July 31 - Leading Congressional Democrats, after months of division over Iraq, have called on President Bush to begin a phased redeployment of troops by the end of this year, a unified statement signaling they have concluded that the war could hurt Republicans in the midterm elections.
