Straw: Iraq suffering horrible massacre

Horrible massacre but not civil war? Say what?

What damn difference does it make what you call it. People are dying by the hundreds weekly.

Sounds like war to me!

ZAMAN DAILY NEWSPAPER (2006040931841):

"British Foreign Minister Jack Straw admitted Iraq is suffering a horrible massacre, but added the country is not at the brink of a civil war.

In a statement to BBC, Straw told: 'I never denied that there is a horrible massacre in Iraq. Yet, I hesitate to say that there is a civil war, because, we are about to see the establishment of a democratic and permanent government.' "
