Bushites see writing on the wall; WAR CRIMES

But does what is done now, make any difference after what has been done since 09/12/01?

This will not do! It is what has already been done which has defiled the human rights of all people, no matter what they have done.

At least, this shows a consciousnes of guilt, or something like that.

Still, what is done is done. It cannot be taken back, nor can the results be ameliorated now, by this admninistration.

This is what happens when the executive attempts to interpret the constitution and congressional actions. That is not the role of the executive, in our three co-equal branches of government.

U.S. Will Give Detainees Geneva Rights Chicago Tribune:

WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration, called to account by Congress after the Supreme Court blocked military tribunals, said Tuesday all detainees at Guantanamo Bay and in U.S. military custody everywhere are entitled to protections under the Geneva Conventions.

White House spokesman Tony Snow said the policy, outlined in a new Defense Department memo, reflects the recent 5-3 Supreme Court decision blocking military tribunals set up by President Bush. That decision struck down the tribunals because they did not obey international law and had not been authorized by Congress.
