Dewine of Ohio exploits 9/11 for re-election campaign

Vote the little sychophant out, people of Ohio. It is time to clean up Washington.

Dewine has covered for this corrupt administration as much as any of the rest of the Rethugs in Congress, with the possible exception of Pat Roberts of Kansas, who leads the pack.

We all remember 9/11. How could any of us possibly forget? Nevertheless, voting for the (un) patriot act didn't bring one terrrorist to justice, it only allowed the curtailing of American rights, in ways we may yet live to regret.

As far as voting for the death penalty for terrorists goes; would that not play right into their whole martyrdom scheme?

Death is too good for people who inflict terror on others, no matter who they are.

The Columbus Dispatch - Local/State:

WASHINGTON - Using vivid images of smoke pouring from one of the towers of the World Trade Center, Republican Sen. Mike DeWine unleashed a commercial yesterday that charges Democratic challenger Sherrod Brown with casting votes in Congress that could have weakened America's response to terrorism.

The TV commercial, which also flashed images of the 19 hijackers who took part in the Sept. 11 attack, is an apparent effort by the DeWine campaign to jar Ohio voters into remembering the terrorist attack in New York and suburban Washington and to convince them that the senator will support tougher anti-terrorism measures than Brown, a congressman from Avon.

Citing votes that Brown has cast throughout his 13 years in the House, the commercial asserts that he voted to 'slash' spending for national intelligence, opposed the Patriot Act in 2001 and 2005, and voted against applying the death penalty to terrorists who kill passengers on U.S. trains.
