This is a purely political stunt meant to pander to the extreme right, Rethug racists.

Besides, doesn't any one else wonder, after 9/11, why it has taken nearly 5 years to consider securing the borders, not oto mention the ports, Nuclear reactors, chemical plants all over the nation and other hot lab facilities?

About the only measures taken to secure the nation involve hassling Americans at aiports and now, we learn, wiretapping and monitoring our communications.

Do the Bushites really expect another hit on our soil? Certainly doesn't seem like it, eh?
