"The Irrelevance of America's Corporate-Owned Press"

They have only themselves to blame!

Thing is, they are not simply irrelevant; they are enablers of a criminal administration that has committed war crimes and other atrocities, has stolen two elections and are shredding the constitution on a daily basis.

I believe that may well make them criminals as well.

If not criminally liable, then perhaps theyare liable to be sued for failing to inform the public of the truth, which is their job under the 1st amendment.

The Progressive Daily Beacon: "The Irrelevance of America's Corporate-Owned Press":

"It'd be incredible and probably newsworthy were it not the American press. As it is America's corporate-owned press and that they continue to treat George W. Bush as if he, with a less than thirty-percent approval, is still relevant can only be expected. It is simply the result of having a press owned by large corporations who have multi-billion dollar business interests at stake before the American government.

Whether it is simply a desire to sway FCC decisions or, in NBCs parent corporation GEs case, needing to secure lucrative Department of Defense contracts, America's corporate owned media is positioned such that they can no longer perform their function as a democracies' guardian, servant of the people, and purveyor of information vital to vibrant democratic discourse. Because of both corporate media's and their parent corporation's economic need and desire to placate and please the U.S. government America's news media has become irrelevant. Nothing highlights their insignificance better than does the preferential treatment of and reporting on George W. Bush's growing list of outright criminal behavior."
