Specter and Republicans Better Figure This Out Before the People Abolish Their Privilege to Govern

On the very day NSA stymied an investigation into the illegal domestic spy program, it was learned that most of America's major telecommunication companies were aiding and abetting the Bush administration's illegal domestic snooping scheme. The program turns out to be anything but the terrorist surveillance plan Bush had claimed it to be. The telecommunication companies, America discovered, have been working intimately with NSA and the administration to collect data on every phone call placed within U.S. borders.

Never in the history of the United States, has the president and government more blatantly abused the freedoms and liberties of the people. Compared to Bush's egregious abuse of power, Nixon's scandal doesn't even register. Yet, to hear the media reports one would think such abuse of power is common and nothing new. They even have the audacity to question whether such an operation is illegal. "
